Ryleigh Wann (she/her) hails from Michigan and currently lives in Brooklyn, NY. She writes about music for The Alternative, interviews poets for Sundress Publications, and is a copywriter for The Economist. She was awarded an MFA in poetry from University North Carolina-Wilmington where she taught creative writing and served as the comics editor for Ecotone. Her writing can be found in The McNeese Review, HAD, The Shore, Longleaf Review, and elsewhere.

Ryleigh is currently at work on a collection of poems titled Swamp Girl and is seeking representation. The poems examine the intersection of addiction and desire, and what happens when desire goes unchecked. The confessional themes include girlhood, the Midwest, and a predatory relationship.

She has editorial experience with Lookout Books, Ecotone, and the Toledo City Paper. Ryleigh is the founder of The Swampera Room Reading Series, a project that encourages local residents to read poetry or prose to an audience in Wilmington, North Carolina.
